SOME FACTS:

- Michael Bolton wrote 'How Am I Supposed to Live Without You' for Laura.  His 1990 recording gave the song it's first chart appearance in the UK and Canada

- In 1987, Cher took 'I Found Someome' into the Top 40 all over the world

- Laura's version of 'The Power of Love' was the first appearance of the song in the US Top 40.  The Jennifer Rush original (which was #1 in the UK and Canada) and the Air Supply cover (which was Top 40 in Canada) both charted in the US, but never made Top 40.  In 1994, Celine Dion took it to #1 in the US and Canada (and #4 in the UK)

Wow didn't realise she recorded How I Am Supposed To Live Without You first.

Not too clued up on Laura's work so I'll go for Self Control, closely followed by Gloria.

nb: Arrrghhh I voted Gloria by mistake!  ;D

Sorry, just to add that Laura did a guest appearance on Automan. Quite a good episode.

That was cool! 8)
She made a few appearances on shows early in her career.  She was also in a 1982 episode of "CHiPs" ...

I chose "Ti Amo" -- beautiful song.  And her "Power of Love" is the best out of all the versions, IMO.

She was a great singer and it was a shock to us when she died. Deadly missed.

I only know her for Gloria and Self Control.

I voted for Gloria.

"Self Control," great male backing vox: "Oh whoa oh, Oh whoa oh!"

I liked "Solitaire" too.  "Where were you when I played solitaire?"
We all knew she wasn't playing no cards!
:P

Pat Benatar had a hit, now largely forgotten, called "Little Too Late," with the chorus,
"Oh, it's a little too little/
It's a little too late!"

At that age, I was like, what's a little too little?
Uh-huh-huh-huh!

That's not what she's talking about, loser!

Laura had so many wonderful songs, but my favorite has always been "Solitaire", so it received my vote. So sad to think that she's no longer with us...  :\'(
