For years I operated on the theory that, like the Smurfs,  Rugrats promotes communism just look at the episode with the lemonade stand. Angelica runs the stand and wants all the nickels but the babies revolt and vow to start their own stand and share the nickels equally.

BTW, He-man and Care Bears aren't the only cartoons to promote homosexuality. Looney Tunes has been transgendered for years!  Look at the Daffy is always so eager to hop into that dress.  :-*  Then there's that one version of Little Red Riding Hood. I don't know if ya'll remember it but it was a 1940's or 50's version where grandma owns a night club and when we're introduced to Granny she is in her office (or penthouse apt.) looking at the Looney Tunes version of "Jugs" magazine :o

This is totally not 80's but still sort of relates... There is an episode of Pokemon that infuriates me because of the message it sends....

The episode is "Bye Bye Butterfree" and the young kid has a Butterfree he wants to take to the valley for Butterfree Mating Season. The boy Butterfree finds a girl Butterfree that he is interested in and goes to "court" her. When she rejects him he returns to the kids dejected. They tell him to go back and use his powers on the female butterfree and "take her while she's stunned",  the young girl adds "Be aggressive that's what love is."  I don't know about anyone else but in California this action is the definition of rape.  >:(   

I'm scared of the young kids who will remember this episode when they start "dating" freshman year of college.
