Los Angeles/Orange County fans of female-fronted '80s pop/rock may want to check out "Ladies Of The '80s". Here's some information about Ladies of The 80s and the 7/21 show:
Blue Café to Host Debut “Ladies of The ‘80s” Tribute Show July 21, in Long Beach, CA
The debut show at the Blue Café will pay tribute to female rockers from the ‘80s.
Long Beach, CA July 2, 2007 – Ladies of The ‘80s Productions today announced the debut of the “Ladies of The ‘80s” live tribute show in Long Beach, CA at the Blue Cafe, on July 21st. The energetic live music show will pay tribute to female rockers from the ‘80s.
This will be the first of several live tribute shows currently being scheduled at clubs and venues throughout Southern California. The July 21 tribute show will feature Los Angeles-based tribute acts Heartbreaker (a Pat Benatar tribute), and Pretentious (a Pretenders tribute), with special guests Candy-O (a Cars tribute).
“We are thrilled to be presenting the debut Ladies of The 80s Tribute Show here at Blue Cafe – I’m a big fan of the music and these bands and we’re looking forward to a great night!” said Catherine Borja, Corporate Director of Entertainment and Special Events for Blue Café.
Future shows will include other female-fronted tribute acts paying tribute to various ‘80s female rock icons, such as Blondie, Fleetwood Mac, and Heart.
