My brother and I are driven to distraction trying to remember the lyrics of the Have You Hugged Your Kid Today? commercial...
what we remember..
"Have you hugged your kid today?
Did you send him on his way

and then we go blank.
Could anybody here help?

No luck on YouTube, but, thanks.
I think about the pitiful little kid with puppy dog eyes in the commercial asking, "Did I do something wrong?" after a series of bad times in the household.
I think about it before I beat my kids.

Ahhh! I've been obsessing about these lyrics as well! Has anyone found the actual commercial anywhere? I keep telling my sister-in-law about the crazy commercials I saw as a kid... There are others too:

There's another one about creepy adults touching kids and how kids should tell some other adult they trust. And then the one about kids watching TV while a guy brings in trash to refill it. It's been 20 years and I still can't get these ridiculous tunes out of my head! ;D

My favorite one(although I'm pretty sure it was from the 70s)featured a man sitting at a desk strewn with paperwork in his home offfice/den. The voiceover says, "Remember last week you said that next week you'd spend more time with your family?"
The man nods.
VO: "It's next week."
No music, but a thought-provoking message nonetheless.
