I'd vote all if I could, but I think Hall and Oates deserve to be in there. They've been going strong since '72 and should have been inducted long ago

How about Jerry Garcia and the boys from The Grateful Dead. They may not have had a top 40 hit until '87, but to rely on nothing but constant touring and performing for over 20 years, in order to keep their name out there was sheer brilliance on their part. It was their love of music, and their fans, that kept them going. Some musical groups would have given up not having a hit in all that time, but these boys were cut from a different cloth. The surviving members should, at least, be given a consideration in my opinion. Whether you think that having many top 40 hits or not should be the deciding criteria, they were still one of the hardest working musical acts in the biz.
