Subject: Top 10 Worst TV Shows of the 1980's
Written By: woops on 01/07/07 at 3:39 pm
The 10 worst pieces of bull manure that have ever aired on television
10."Pee Wee's Playhouse"
Paul Rueben's character Pee Wee Herman has to be one of the creepiest and inane kiddie show host ever. Not to mention the overly annoying "secret word" thing and that he reminds me of Jacko, though atleast he had great songs in the 1980's and 1970's with Jackson Five... :P
9 "Facts of Life
Ugh, never understood the appeal of the show since it's not funny and overly corny...
8. "Alf"
Annoying wise cracking alien...
7. "The Cosby Show"
Bland, unfunny, and I don't know anybody (in any race, religion, etc) who are like that... Have to say that it's among the most overrated sitcom of all time.
6. "Full House"
A bland/corny family sitcom with bad acting, cheesy characters, and cloying episodes.
5. "Tales from the Darkside"
It's basically a lame version of the "Twilight Zone"...
4. "Golden Girls"
...ugh!
3. "Oprah"
...For some reason it's still on the air :P
2. "Sqaure Pegs"
Besides a good theme show, it's basically an '80's version of "Lizzie McGuire" featuring one of the worst actresses ever: Sarah Jessica Parker
1. "Small Wonder"
'nuff said...

I am not going to comment on 10 or 8. I like those shows alot. ::)
However I strongly believe that Small Wonder is the great form of torture, ever invented. ;D

I agree with ALF.
I found Willies Character to be the funniest out of all of them, though I liked Kates rare sarcasm.
ALF's jokes were ok for their time.

I can agree with all but 8, 7 & 6.
Instead of Alf you should have "Out Of This World", describable with only one word: STUPID!
At #7 you should have "Just The Ten Of Us", A fat bald b-ball coach who would never have had 8 kids in real life(because no woman would ever sleep with him), his Carol-Brady-clone wife and their four teenage daughters whose wardrobe & attitude was only acceptable(at the time) on Hollywood Boulevard! This was a spinoff of "Growing Pains"? I guess they spun out the untalented writers!
And #6 should be replaced with "Designing Women", four insane Southern women tackling heavy issues from inside an interior decorating company? take out the black delivery guy and it's "Golden Girls, Episode I: The Phantom Husbands"!
Otherwise, it's a good list. Most network people in the 80's had the good sense to cancel what shows were obviously junk!
Your Pal,
Doc
