I was watching some show were Chris DeBurgh was cited as a one hit wonder (which by some American standards he was) so it inspired me to compile his complete chart singles for the UK and North America ...

NOTE: "Lady in Red" was released in the UK (June) and Canada (September) in 1986. It was not released in America until February of 1987, the same as the UK re-issue

The insipid songs seem to be a trademark of both!
From the above, only 'High On Emotion' is passably passable...

I just recently watched the movie Arthur 2: On the Rocks which is where the song Love is My Decision comes from and I still really like that song.

Of all of his singles, only one ever made Dutch Top 40. Can you guess which one? ::)
Yes indeed - The Lady In Red, peaking at #6.
Five other singles (including "Don't Pay The Ferryman", "Sailing Away", "Missing You" and "The Simple Truth ") got stuck in bubbling under section, the others did zilch.
In 1984, Chris also released "The Head And The Heart". Although it failed to reach Top 40 (stalled at #48), it is still a popular tune in The Netherlands.
