Subject: 80s sci-fi ref on South Park?
Written By: Stinkyy on 11/05/06 at 11:17 am
O.k., so in last episode (150), Cartman went flying forward in time. I recognize the theme music as the opener from some show. What show would that have been?
Also:
- Does anyone remember a show where a guy, decked out in 70s duds (vest and space-mullet I think), runs around with a pocket watch that can be used for time travel? What was the name of the show?
Thanks,
Stinkyy

The theme was from the 70's TV series "Buck Rogers In The 25th Century".

The time travel via pocket watch was called Voyagers and starred Jon-Erik Hexum and Meeno Pelluce (his sister was Soleil Moon Frye aka Punky Brewster) I loved this show. Hope it comes to DVD soon so I can laugh!!!

reminds me of my recent realization about my second favorite spaceship of the 1970s (after the X-wing, of course): the eagle!

with its fat swollen head and pronounced shaft which aid it in thrusting through the inky blackness of space...
in my childhood i never noticed this.
