Subject: Rocky IV annoyance

What bothers me about this movie was that after it was over, the credits began rolling. I mean what's up with that? Does it bother anyone else?
;D :D

The most annoying part of Rock IV was the long sequence between the opening and closing credits...

Uh, don't the credits usually roll when a film is over?

Anyway, Rocky IV wasn't the annoying one, Rocky V was. I suppose the idea was to show Rocky return to his working class roots and become one of the folks again. But it was just stupid. The same fighter who defeated the Soviet Union's Ubermensch and brought symbolic Cold War victory to the U.S. is reduced to street brawling with some punk kid? No, that just didn't work. I guess Stallone had the cash and the clout to get the picture made, but who wanted to see Rocky lose all his dough 'coz Paulie f**ked up? The whole story deflated. It's as if Stallone decided to make "Rambo IV: K.P."

The only thing I liked about Rocky V was how they made it so Stallone had slurred speech from all the beatings he took from Drago in Rocky IV. I actually never realized this until a few years ago :-[ ;D

Yup-that annoyed me, too. They had the same annoyance for Rocky I,II,III, and V (and it appears they are coming out with VI which I suspect will make the same mistake.) ::)

I've also heard of a possible "Rocky VI". This production has been on-again, off-again for a few years. Not even sure if a script was completed...
Eh...would probably consist, mainly, of Sly babbling incoherently through half the film, his brain having been turned to oatmeal years ago from too many head shots go ;)...

It's now a reality. Titled "Rocky Balboa", it will hit theatres in Christmas of 2006 and is s'posed to have all of the things that Rocky V lacked (good script, etc ...)

the most annoying thing about rocky IV was the poster showed Rocky in American flag trunks with an american flag raised victoriously behind him.... hmmmm wonder if he'll win the match in this one?
