It's a slow soft song and it's a guy singing. I keep hearing it over and over again in my head. Can anyone help?! :-\\

It's an upbeat track, and the singer's female (the inimitable Darby Mills), but... you're only off by one word. How 'bout this? Underrated Canadian rock band, early '80s. (and if this isn't the track you're looking for, but if you enjoyed Diesel's Sausalito Summer Night, you'll like the Headpins!)

It's funny you mention .. that was the first song I thought of when initially reading this post, but when TiaBoBia said it was a guy singing, I nixed The Headpins. Darby Mills has a rough deep voice, but not easy to mistake with a male's voice ;D

I remember my jaw dropping when I first heard "I've Heard It All Before"... because of a radio station that decided it was late enough at night that it didn't have to bleep/fade one particular line.

The Headpins were very popular in Canada, and they were also a spin-off from Chilliwack. In the 90s, Darby Mills even went solo and had a few hits, one which I know hit the top 40. I should do a bio on them 8)
