okay so my mother saw a movie in around 81 or 82 possibley even early 70's
in it she says is a young david boreanaz (she says i am not so sure)
it was in middle east, maybe egypt or some other desert area

a girl is a recovering drug addict and stays with friends
she dates a new guy
he gives her a bracelet but her roomate or friend (main character) never see him just a waiting parked car
then her friend disappears
turns out a lotta girls have been disappearing and something to do with bracelet

this girl wants to find her roomate so she investigates
my mother clearly remembers scene of the girl trying to reach a key on top of a door frame
she can't reach and is trying frantically
perhaps the killer was coming or something
u are kinda told maybe it was david boreanaz's character maybe not maybe some other guy that was in it
at some point david boreanaz's character warns her

not much else know as clues because she saw it so long ago but we have been trying to find it forever
we search imdb and tons of sites
no one lists any david boreanaz movies before the nineties even under his other names used
maybe it isn't him
but even if it isn't we wanna know the title

A young Craig Sheffer looks an awful lot like David Boreanaz....
Could be him but research doesn't show a movie like you described

i'm dangerous tonight is not the same story at all either and it was tv and was made in 1990

so on an update
i have narrowed down the year a little by asking what movie came before and after it to my mother
so it would be before blade runner 82
and after blue sunshine 76

so i hope that helps and someone can help us!
