One Step Ahead isn't in the poll :\'(
I went for "Six Months in A Leaky Boat". Back in the day, it was massive here in Canada and has always been my favourite from them :)

Impossible to choose ! In the end I chose My Mistake because it was my introduction to the band - I still remember them being on Countdown in the mid 70s - bright outfits, funky hair, strange makeup - singing it. I wanted to be them.
Saw them in concert last month - 22 years after I first saw them in concert and they were still awesome.

It's good to see "Six Months in A Leaky Boat" atleast in the charts. That song should have been a hit everywhere

It probably would have been a hit had it not come out during the Falkland Islands war. The UK peeps got all uptight, thinking it was a criticism of their military. It was actually about the colonials in New Zealand. I believe the song was banned, but I could be wrong. Elvis Costello's "Pill and Soap", which actually *was* a commentary on the British political situation of the time, met with similar criticism but was a hit anyway.
I dig "History Never Repeats". That song has *hooks*!! :)

The Split Enz UK hit Singles were:
1980 12 I Got You
1981 63 History Never Repeats
1983 83 Six Months In A Leaky Boat
Here's additional hits for US and Canada:
1980 - I Got You
1981 - One Step Ahead
1982 - Six Months in A Leaky Boat
* These Canadian Chart positions courtesy of the CBC Charts, a combination of sales and airplay, which was one of many chart systems used to measure hit singles in Canada. The one I normally use is RPM, but One Step Ahead doesn't appear in it, and I knew it was a hit, becuase I remember it :)

And just for the heck of it, here's the hits that Tim Finn had in Canada (he had no hits as a solo artist in America) ...
1983 - Through the Years
1989 - How'm I Gonna Sleep
1990 - Not Even Close

There are so many great ones to choose from...
I'm going with
Albert of India
The Finn brothers are terrific, but let's not forget instrumentals were a strong suit with the Enz, and somebody around here ought to give a nod to Eddie Rayner!
The "Waiata" (aka "Corroboree")/"Corroboree" (aka "Waiata") album is my favorite. It didn't quite the esteem and accolades of other albums, such as "Mental Notes" and "True Colors," but it's the first Split Enz I had and the most special to me! It was marketed as "Waiata" here in the States.
The production on "Conflicting Emotions" is peerless!

Since the only song of theirs I know is "I Got You", I might as well vote for that one.
