I remember that Levis Ad. I don't remember if it was a British Commercial, but I do remember it airing over here

It was a British Ad. They did two or three for the 501 jeans using oldies songs (Heard It Through The Grape Vine on this one I think)

I found the video to "Each Time You Break My Heart" over at You Tube, and you can definitely see and hear the Madonna influence. There's even an appearance by the young boy that appeared in Madonna's video to "Open Your Heart"...

Yep, I remember that advert. It caused quite a reaction that it allowed Kamen to have a relatively successful pop career. He also had a top 50 hit in 1987 called 'Nobody else' and a top 50 song in 1990 called 'I promised myself'. Not bad for a model that should have been forgotten about after one advert. :)

Especially as he didn't exactly have a great singing voice !

It was distinctly average so Kamen did very well for himself.

'Each Time You Break My Heart' used to be one of my favourite songs when I was a kid. I only last year found out it was a Nick Kamen song. He had no hits in the US Hot 100 charts, so I naturally assumed it was the same for Canada. I make bad asumptions. lol
He did have a dance hit in the US with a Shep Pettibone remix of 'Each Time ..' but as far as I know, that was it
