Debbie Gibson, by the public: 1990, by some (her fans, myself) never was "uncool"
the rest, early '90's (like Deb)

I dont think Motely Crue ever became uncool, they just started to make music which knid of sucked and thats not a smart thing to do when your regarded as a hard rockign band, sacking Vince at the height of things was also quiet stupid and showed how drugged out they all really were, to call some of the crap that followed 1989's Dr Feelgood albumn Motley Crue albumns is a joke.
Van Halen went uncool gradually, it all ended when like motley Sammy needed his space, unfrotunately he hung around long before he left and the result is some crap music.
A Flock of seagulls, they never were cool.
Poison, around 1993
The Cure, still cool but no longer regarded as edgy.
Duran Duran, 1990 to the day, lol, they fumbled the ball, but managed to pick it back up in 1993, they then managed to fumble it severly after that and have never picked it up since.

Duran Duran made a comeback last year with the album Astronaut
In the US, they've remained quite uncool, though.

My guesses . . .
Duran Duran - 1987 after Notorious
The Cure - 1991
Debbie Gibson - 1990
Culture Club - 1986
Poison - 1991
Van Halen - depends on your point of view, anytime between 1986 - 1988 I reckon
A Flock of Seagulls - almost instantly dated - 1985
Paula Abdul - 1993
Tiffany - 1990

Most all of them by 91-92. As the 90's came along the world was thinking "next?"

I have some more to add (this is mainly from a US point of view):
Bon Jovi- 1995 (although it was looking a bit bleak around late '91/early '92, until "Keep The Faith" kept them going for a couple more years. They are the only real Hair Metal band to have big hits during the grunge era.
Pat Benatar- 1986
Cyndi Lauper- 1990 (though on the wane from mid-1987)
Thompson Twins- 1990
INXS- 1991
Warrant- 1991 (quickly became dated)
The Jets- 1989
Billy Ocean- 1989
Pet Shop Boys- 1989
Guns 'N Roses- 1993
Banarama- 1988
The Bangles- 1990
Tears For Fears- 1990
Expose- Late 1993
The Fixx- 1987
Survivor- 1987
Human League- 1987
Men At Work- 1984
Quiet Riot- 1985
The Cars- 1988
Whitesnake- 1990
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts- 1989
Psychedelic Furs- 1988
Asia- 1984
Eurythmics- 1987
Spandeau Ballet- 1985
Huey Lewis And The News- Late 1991 (though on the wane from late 1988)

Yeah, I liked Undone and Ordinary World back in the day. But the last one I heard back in the early 00's was pretty blasay.
For me classic Duran Duran ended with "View to a Kill" (1985).
I liked Nick Rhodes Arcadia project ("Election Day"), which came out the year after.

Huey Lewis And The News- 1990
Wrong! They released the platinum Hard At Play in the summer of '91, then things got a little thin for them Four Chords... in '94 only went gold, I think, but it was just a cover tunes album. Then they put out their greatest hits CD Time Flies in '97, revamped their sound even deeper into Rhythm & Blues with Plan B in 2001, and finally put out a concert CD in 2005, appropriately named Live At 25. NTM, in all that time, Huey and the guys have never missed an opportunity to play live, including for all gathered for A Capital Fourth on 7/4/2008.
Didn't mean to write a speech about this, but HLN has been my favorite band for years, and I am FINALLY going to see them in concert this July! THANK YOU MOHEGAN SUN! I'll tell you all about it afterward.
Your Pal,
Doc

Agreed. Even that song wasn't as good as the hits they put out earlier.

Dead with "View to a Kill" in 1985, only to dig up the corpse and violate it in 1995 by covering Public Enemy's "9-1-1 is a Joke" and Grandmaster Flash's "White Lines", on the same album. (No sir, thank You! :)
The cover of "Ball of Confusion" was adequate, but there are some genre boundaries which shouldn't be crossed. That which has been heard, cannot be unheard.
