It was a rocker I think called "Lunatic Fringe"? My local oldies station played it and I didn't catch the name of the band. I thought I heard "Red Rider"? Is that right? :-\\ Any info would be most appreciated because I know this is going to drive me crazy?!?!?! :D Thanks in advance!!!! ;)

Lunatic Fringe is by Red Rider yes. They were a Canadian band fronted by Tom Cochrane
That song was written about the murder of John Lennon, and remains Red Rider's most famous hit in America
