'Too Bad'-Doug & The Slugs
I love Doug and the Slugs. Ever see the video for that song? It was hilariously weird ;D
In their early years, Doug and the Slugs did alot of silly songs, like "Too Bad" and "Makin it Work", and they sounded great 8)

Yeah, that song is silly, fun, has a great big, still very big at clubs, weddings, etc. it's stood the test of time. Some people can't believe it's 23 years old now.

Just to list one, Money (That's What I Want) by the Flying Lizards. Not the lyrics but the instrumentation.

A lot of happy women . . .
Silly songs include 'Clouds across the moon' by The Rah Band (and the video is even sillier), 'The Safety Dance' by Men Without Hats (I love it though) and 'Stutter Rap' by Morris Minor and the Majors (another song I love).

Most definitely! Oh, that reminds of 'Hokey Cokey' by The Snowmen. Did you see that Top of the Pops where those guys are dressed in large snowmen outfits? Class as heck, you don't see that kind of thing anymore . . .
Oh, the lead singer sounds a lot like Ian Dury as well.

That's Bras on '45, by "Ivor Biggun", to you, sir.
Emm Pee Threes available at:

Safe for work... well, as safe as anything by Ivor Biggun's gonna be. But let's face it. If "Bras on '45" isn't safe for your workplace, do you really wanna be working there?
And the lyrics are here:

Hawk, the Slayer's Top 10 Silliest '80s Songs
2. Reagan's Rap (as performed by Jim Morrus)
Is that available on CD? I'd given up on ever finding out who it was but now I have hope. (It belongs in my Best of Vegas collection.) I looked on Amazon but they don't have release dates or track lists for half of his stuff. Anything else of his that stands out? That was so very funny and maybe the first rap I ever heard.

Jim Morrus had quite a bit of comedic material- most of it political. I mean, Ronald Reagan did for comics what the microwave did for appliance stores!
I don't know if his stuff is out on CD...I know they played it often, back in the day, and I had a collection of Ronald Reagan stuff on tape, here, somewhere....I think it's between my inflatable Dalek, and my poster of Bobby Jimmy & The Critters, when the song "Big Butt" came out.
