I am throwing an 80s party and cannot decide what colors represent the decade the best. Hot pink, bright yellow? Neon blue? I need to pick colors for the decorations. The invitations said there would be "99 Red Balloons" in the front of the house....but what colors for the party? Thanks!

anything bright (neon colors...hot pink, green, blue)....and polka dots/stripes, etc...were also very popular.

I agree with the neon colors.
Also, it helps if you can get the obligatory light-up beer sign, or at least a beer mirror. Most everyone had one.
