Both movies were released in 1987 and were box-office hits. What film did you like the best? If there was a battle between the Predator and Robocop who will win?

I give two thumbs up to Robocop great film and I believe Predator could beat Robocop. :\'(

To be perfectly honest, I liked Predator at the time, but watching it now, it's just not the same.  I still do love Robocop .. lots of great action that never gets old :)

Robocop 2 is still one of the most violent movies I've ever seen  :o

Predator could win, it has cloaking, heat vision, cool weapons, booby traps, and plus if he gets seriously injured, he can use his wrist device to attivate a a bomb.

Robocop has a gun, is half man and machine, is made mostly of metal, and has a tracking system. The "jet pack" hasn't been added on yet.

As violent as Robocop 2 is, Predator 2 is also pretty violent as well.

I would say that I prefer Predator, although Robocop is a great film. I, too, believe that Predator would beat up Robocop...

Guess it would just depend on how the movie is made, would the predators weapons be able to penetrate Robocops armor??

Are you kidding me!!!! Robocop would get his robot butt pulled apart!!! Unless he had that big gun that he killed that ED 209 with. Now that would be a battle!! ED 209 VS Predator!!  ;D

While the Predators definitely have Robocop out-classed when it comes to speed, I don't know that I'd make it as one sided as people are saying. Robocop does have heat sensing, as seen in the first movie when takes out the ex-mayor, so there's a good chance he might be able to track the Predator despite the cloaking. Robocop has fairly significant armour, not only in stopping penatration power but also against concussive damage, so he wouldn't be all that easy to take out. The bomb might be a threat, he's a cop so he might just jump in his car and get out of range (besides, if it comes to the point where the Predator has to use the bomb, then the Predator has admitted it's beaten).

I don't know how well the Predator's lasers work against armoured people, seems to me that most of the things it kills were wearing very little armour, so it might be limited in weapon choice. The throwing blade or the spear might be more effective, but they're slower as well. Also, we know from the first movie that it's armour can be penatrated by convential (if powerful) weapons, and Robo's gun packs quite a punch. Add to that the fact that Robo's got incredible auto-tracking (something the people in the Predator movies never had), and it could be quite a match...

I think that Robocop would probably win, as he can take a whole lot more punishment than Arnold's character could. I'm not sure if the Predator would fight Robocop, though. It would likely see him as a machine, and therefore there would be no sport in killing him. But if mere mortals can kill a Predator, no matter how hard that is, then Robocop could surely kill one.

Of course, it is possible that some of the Predator's weapons could kill Robocop as well if he didn't take precautions against them.

Predator would tear Robocop to pieces.....Robocop is a metal toy when compared to an evolved space alien!
