I voted for "I Don't Want to go to Chelsea", Clubland", and "13 Steps Lead Down". The latter was the tune that first got me intrested in EC's music.

Out of these, I chose "Pump It Up," "Veronica," and "This Town," and I also liked "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding."
When I was in the Army, I was on an Elvis Costello kick, and my roommate, who was a total headbanger, gave me a ton of crap about it.

Wasn't there an episode of "Melrose Place" in which one of the charcaters sang that song to Alison? :P

I picked "Sulky Girl," "Oliver's Army," and "(I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea," but I could have easily picked almost any of these. Elvis C rocks.

I took "Pump It Up" from the '70s, but also like
"Senior Service" and
"Green Shirt"
from the '70s as well.

Yes, apparently an old schoolmate of hers. It was brief, thankfully!

Sorry to say I wasn't as familiar with Elvis Costello as I probably could have been. :-Everyday I Write the Book was one of the first videos I really remember, and is definitely one of my fave songs from that era.
I also liked Veronica though.

My three favorites weren't listed:
Strict Time, Beyond Belief and Big Sister's Clothes
I bought "Girls, Girls, Girls" used way back when - back when I only knew a few songs by Elvis. Now I have all his albums - he's my all-time favorite now!

"Allison" still makes me cry.
Where was one of my other favorites, "Peace, Love, and Understanding"???????? Hmm???? I loved Tracey Ullman singing it on her FOX show. She played a teenage girl playing a game of volleyball. She started singing because she thought everyone was being too competitive.
