Subject: The Chameleons UK

Anyone ever heard of The Chameleons (or as they were known in America, The Chameleons UK)
They were a post-punk band from Manchester, England who released 3 albums in the early - mid 80's and scored cult hits with such songs as Up the Down Escalator, As High As You Can Go and Tears

Originally, I'd never heard of them, but about 5 years ago, I bought a compilation tape from a goodwill that had "Up the Down Escalator" on it. After that, I was hooked. I think "As High As You Can Go" would be my favourite of theirs O0

The name sort of sounds familiar and I recognise the first album cover. But when I listened to a clip it didn't really ring any bells.
What year did Up The Down Escalator come out?

The Chameleons were great! I discovered them through the single "In Shreds", found on a classic alternative compilation during my college days. Like so many of the British groups that era, they were sadly overlooked here in the US. They reunited for a new album a few years back, but I don't know if it was a one-off sort of deal.

They did reunite yes. They released 2 albums of previous material, and 1 album of new songs, before calling it quits once again :\'(
