I've heard only his name mentioned, but never listened any of his stuff. What kind of music did he do? Was he like Bobby Brown back in the day?

Rhythm & Blues...Bobby Brown started out with New Edition who became 'Bell Biv De Voe' after he left; think Al B was more like them, or Ralph Trevsant; soulful ballads, love songs.
Or that's what I remember.
