Subject: Dolls of the 80's

I had a doll as a kid and I can't remember what her name was. She had a yellow pajama suit on. She had brown curly short hair and had a dark complexion. Her pajamas had a trap door in the back and you could see her butt and it was rubber like her hands and head. The rest of her body was like a bean bag. Does anybody remember what her name was? I loved that doll!!

I think you're talking about "Baby Beans" I had a Baby Beans doll when I was little. She wore yellow fleece pajamas, right?

I never heard of Baby Beans before (no relation to Beanie Babies), but apparently they emerged in the '70s and there were several varieties. Toy makers had been developing dolls to simulate speech and bodily functions for a while, so I surmised "Baby Beans" was the first flatulent doll...but apparently not.
At least don't look as much like atomic mutants as Cabbage Patch Kids.
