I was old enough to have a car in the '80s, but I never did. In fact, I didn't get my driver's license until I was twenty. It's a long story. Anyway, my first car was a 1984 Toyata Camry sedan which I got for a song in 1992 and drove from hell to breakfast. It finally died in 1996 with 218 thousand miles on it. I still suspect I could have gotten 280 thousand miles out of that thing if I'd done just a little more preventative maintenance. In those four years my average annual mileage was 25 thousand miles, so it had a good run!
I was looking for a picture of the year and model, but I couldn't find one. They were still boxy looking that model year.

Nice cars, I like the IROC -Z. When my wife and I get our house next year I'm going to have a place to properly store an 80's muscle car.

I had a blue 86 Mustang LX 4 speed with gold rims. The guy who owned it had died and his executor sold the car. It was haunted. The radio buttons couldn't be reprogrammed until I got the new title in the mail. :o
