tvshowsondvd.com just report that season one of Gimme a Break will be released on DVD in Feb.
One of the bonus on the disc is an episode of Kate and Allie
Can anyone think of a reason why they would make this association?
I think the Kate and Allie audience (me) is vastly different from the Gimme a Break audience.
I think it would be like putting an episode of Fraiser on a Full House or Saved by the Bell DVD boxed set

I reckon the same company will be releasing Kate & Allie at some point, so they're creating a stir.
Plus Gimme A Break Season 1 only had 19 episodes, so they need to bulk up the number of episodes on the dvd set.
I'm more of a Kate & Allie fan, but I used to love Gimme A Break too.
Bottom line... both 80's sitcoms at the end of the day.

I'm pleased that "Gimme A Break!" one of the most underrated shows of the 80's, is
on DVD now. During the latter part of the 80's, I use to enjoy watching the show starring Neil Carter.
