Subject: Marvin Gaye's last hit
Written By: Carl on 11/29/05 at 11:07 am
I believe it was the '83 hit 'Sexual Healing', but correct me if I'm wrong. I got into his music while in HS,he had some album advertised on a TV commercial, and I thought the music was great. I never knew he was shot by his father, that stunned me.

What better music to bring one up, he was great, no doubt he would still be performing today.

There were a bunch of tribute songs about Marvin Gaye in the 80's, one released before his death:
True - Spandau Ballet (This one was written before his death. It paid partial hommage to him and the motown sound he helped establish)
Missing You - Diana Ross
Nightshift - The Commodores (also a tribute to Jackie Wilson who died the same year as Marvin)
