Does anyone have a manual for the speak and read? If so could you e-mail it to me or send me a link to where I could find it? Thanks

I realise you are long gone now, but I noticed a guest viewing this topic.
Firstly, is 'Speak and Read' the same as 'Speak and Spell's?
Secondly, the manual is available here, http://www.datamath.org/Speech/SpeaknRead.htm

I did a little research, on Google Images, and it is a very similar device to Speak and Spell.

Probably the name difference is down to copyright?

I don't know, they were made by the same company.
And the keyboards have the same layout.
I don't know what could be the difference between the two (other than color scheme), that would warrant a name difference. Perhaps I could research some more and find out why there's a name difference.

Also available back in the 1980s, Speak & Math.

Speak & Math had five distinct learning games: Solve It, Word Problems, Greater Than/Less Than, Write It, and Number Stumper, all playable at three levels of difficulty. Solve It is the classic math problem-solving game where the participant must solve five math problems to the best of their ability. Number Stumper is a game of Bulls and Cows, whereby one is told the "number right" and the "number in wrong place." Write It involves the participant typing the number they hear. Greater Than/Less Than involves whether the number on the left is greater than or less than the number on the right.

Thanks for the info.
Glad to help - even if the original poster's gone, as long as there's enough to work with, a bump is fine.
