The guy on the show was sort of short tempered I remember. But, it was fun to watch and learn from it. The intros were SO lame, though. The music, the graphics... lol.

I LOVED that show!!! I wish it would come out on DVD... what an awesome show that was and I actually learned a lot from it.  ;D

There was an 80's version of this? I occasionally catch the old B/W version from-what was it, the 40's or the 50's? The science channel sometimes runs that on Sunday mornings.
Does it still air on any channel?

Yes, he did have two versions of the show - from what I saw online last night. He had one called "Watch Mr. Wizard" that ran from 1951 -1966. That show ended and then he began a new one called "Mr. Wizard's World" with Nickelodean in I believe the late 1970's throughout even the real early 1990's. There are DVD's of it available - which is kinda cool!
