Subject: Some time in the 80s
Written By: GreyRS on 08/03/05 at 8:04 am
There were a couple of AC/DC songs remade as dance/rap tracks with a female lead. I remember "You Shook Me All Night Long" but, I am sure there was at least one other. I am trying to find out who did them and if they are still available. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!
Just thought of another late eighties, early nineties song I am interested in finding. I believe it is call "Anilmals" or "Pre-historic Animals". It was a techno/dance song and the only thing I remember fromt the chorus is " Everybody freeze until the ________ comes home." Never was sure what the fifth word is, and I may be way off on the name.
Thanx,
Jef

I think I know the answer to the second part of your question. The song is called "Nemesis" and is by the band Shriekback. It was a big hit in the "new-wave" alternative dance clubs in the 80s. One of my favorites from that time actually.

Here's the part you probably remember...     "Priests and cannibals, prehistoric animals, everybody happy as the dead come home, Big black nemesis, partheniogenesis, no one move a muscle til the dead come home"  Shriekback also had a club hit with an industrial-tinged remake of the disco hit "Get Down Tonight" by KC and the Sunshine Band.
