I WAS there. I was 12 years old when GNR hit the scene. Bought the album after the first time I heard Jungle. Seen them live when I was 16. I know alot about the 80's, so dont act like I am one of these people who wasn't even born then.

1988, well that was the year that I entered second grade and my little brother was 1 year old. Honestly though, this wasn't a good year for me at school relationship-wise with my teacher who seemed to hate at that time but I've had worse.

GNR's 'Sweet Child of Mine' was the top selling single of 1988. It was also the most requested video of 1988 on MTV. Put that on the top of that list, and it might be accurate.

I was entering 1st grade around this time. I also went to Disneyland for the first time that year. What else happened? Oh yeah, one of my favorite artists were the Bangles. I loved their song "Eternal Flame." I wasn't all that fond of G & R. Still am not that fond of them.

In 1988, I went to my 1st rock concert and started high-school. I listened to INXS, Icehouse and Bon Jovi and hung with my 1 best friend at school, a fellow outcast. And I though I had it bad! (Sigh!)

Back then just as today, Axl Rose is STILL a jerk. He beat up women and is a huge coward. If I saw him today I'd beat the crap of his sorry @ss...but since I'll probably never meet him I'll just do this http://www.geocities.com/klaatu_77/slap.gif

Yeah, it was a big one! It's hard to remember a lot when you were six, but that I remember well!

I was 6 years old and playing in the backyard. I actually remember a whole hell of a lot when I was 6. That's where my freshest memory is. I mean I can remember a lot of stuff before 6, but starting with 6, seems like yesterday.
