Thanks, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about.  I know who Tiffany is, I know what she sang, I know how big she was.  I didn't have to actually be a teen in the decade that she was popular in to grasp the concept of who she is.  I was just making a remark as to how washed-up she seemed to me.  Sorry if I offended you, sir.  This 16-year-old will keep his opinion to himself next time.  Douchebag.

Listen kids, I have never said you don't rights to express your opinions. You have every right to, just like I have a right to challenge those opinions. Message boards are an exchange of people's ideas. If I have something to say on a certain post, I'm going to comment on it. I may not be nice about it, but I'm going to say something if I want. I agree with Lebiew in one sense. There's a real "stigma" attached to things like that. In other words, if you say you don't like something, people sometimes give off the assumtion that it's simply because you "weren't around" when it was popular, not because it's simply a true dislike of what it is - that's all he's saying about Tiffany, and that's his right to do so.

I had just turned 8 when the 80's ended, so it's very borderline to say I "grew up" in the 80's or not. It doesn't happen as much now, but more than a few times, I've had people question my having such a strong liking for that decade (and, for that matter the 60s and 70s too, which truly were before my time, but I still liked them).

However, I agree with you in the sense that I like her too.

Let's just try to get along and be nice to each other, ok? :)
