Not a vintage year for #1's - there was some much better stuff that didn't reach the top...
From this...Lennon ('Woman'), Specials, Soft Cell, Stewart & Gaskin (very odd, but it worked...) and Human League...

I chose The Police and Human League...here in the US they both spilled over into 1982 :)
