Tough call, though I select "Electric Youth" for "Lost In Your Eyes", "Who Loves Ya Baby?", "No More Rhyme", and "We Could Be Together"...  8) :)

I also like "Out Of The Blue", which is a good pop record, contains the hits "Only In My Dreams", "Shake Your Love", "Out Of The Blue", and "Foolish Beat"...which made Deborah Gibson  the youngest artist to write, produce, & record a #1 hit in 1988.

And I wouldn't refer to her as a "has-been" since she's been active in theatre and still puts out music.

Good question, I have both of them - I even remember her back in '87 or so when I was little.

(I hope none of my RL friends are reading this - my street cred will fall lower than it already has! ;D )

In general, I think Out of the Blue has better hits, but Electric Youth is better as an overall listen.

Besides the 3 singles: the title track (my fave - even has a bit of a pop/rock edge!), "Shake your Love" and "Foolish Beat", nothing much else on OOTB stands out as me. Maybe "Staying Together" would be the strongest album track.

I really can't decide.  Both were staples of the last half of my teens, and the cassettes are still in rotation in my car today!

Out of the Blue. The only thing about Electric Youth I liked was "Lost in Your Eyes". By then, I grew bored of her and moved on to other acts.

I couldn't choose between the two so I chose both.  :)

I've always been partial to Electric Youth.  I like every song on that album.
