Subject: Need help finding a song name
Written By: Ei Rik on 05/12/05 at 3:03 pm
Ok all I remember is that it deals with this soldier, I think in Vietnam who is trapped behind enemy lines when this other guy comes and saves him.  When he is waking up in the hospital he comes to find that the guy was dead weeks before he was saved.
Hope somone recognizes my description

the only vietnam related one i remember was " Redgum - I Was Only 19 " 1983
...a great tune, and at the time ( yes, even in 83 ::) ) it was often not played by many radio stations due to the sensativity of the subject ...if this song is the one your meaning...then you'll realise soon "why on earth it even had a partial radio ban - even back then " good tune though .
their other local hit in Aust was " Australiana " 1983 ( unique comedy, rather than a song )

Hornet, "Australiana" was by 'Austen Tayshus' rather than Redgum.
From memory, Redgum took themselves quite seriously. Austen didn't ;D

Sounds something akin to 'Camouflage' by Stan Ridgway...
