Subject: Dance Culture

Hey everyone
I'm actually asking you all a favour here, I am doing a project for university about 80's dance culture ie what types of dancing were really popular at the time. The two I have so far are breakdancing and Voguing. If anyone can help me I'd appreciate it loads. Given that by the time the eighties were over I was only six I'm not too up-to-date on my 80's Dance Culture. By the way does anyone get where my name comes from?
Bender ;D

Wasn't "Vogue-ing" more 1990 onwards?
The 80's had a lot of classical dance influence... you know like Flashdance, ballet sorta stuff, body contortions.
Then you get body-popping (a branch of breakdancing), the Tiffany dance was popular, the Dirty Dancing flick your skirt back and forth dance... Ummm disco dancing was still popular in the very early 80's too. Solid Gold dancers.
Is this what your looking for? I have a feeling it's not... ha ha! Oh well!
