Subject: '80s film music

I was recently reminded of a song I heard over the end credits of a movie in the mid- to late-'80s, as I recall.  The song caught my ear and the credits claimed it was by the Knack.  (No, not "My Sharona" from Reality Bites.)  But for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the song or the name of the movie.  I thought the Knack were broken up by the mid-'80s and as far as I know, the song never made it onto one of their records.  Whether this movie had a soundtrack or not, dunno.  Does anyone else remember this song or have any info about it?  Thanks bunches.
