I'll try not to make this too long a list, but I recommend as much music used on Miami Vice as you can fit!

Jan Hammer, "Miami Vice" & "Crockett's Theme"
Glenn Frey, "Smuggler's Blues" & You Belong To The City"
Phil Collins, "In The Air Tonight" & "Take Me Home"
Tina Turner, "Better Be Good To Me"
Chaka Khan, "Own The Night"
Ted Nugent, "Little Miss Dangerous"
Sheena Easton, "Follow My Rainbow"

That should cover the essentials. I'll post again if I think of enought for another list. But hey, why stop at 2 CDs?

Your Pal,
Doc

How could you guys forget "Cars" by Gary Numan? The best one hit wonder of the 80's. Probably the only one hit wonder that doesn't sound dated. It was actually ahead of its time. This song should definitely be included in your compilation No. 5.

It's not like I'm ignoring what you guys say! I get reminded of great songs all the time on this message board, not just through this post but others as well. Am just about to download a bunch of songs from Ultravox (whom I don't remember so well from the the day)  and  Depeche Mode.

Comfortably Numb is from the 70's. Maybe you should put Floyd's 'Learning to Fly' in its place. Or you could use 'Touch of Grey' by the Grateful Dead.

"Comfortably Numb" was released as a single 1980 -with the album from which it came (The Wall) already out the previous year.
