Subject: Were all pre-90s decades lacking in media violence or just the 80s?
Written By: DevoRule on 04/08/05 at 8:37 pm
I've been wondering this because while the 80s had little media violence, I've heard there were corporations that measured the violence in the media as early as ... get this . 1968.
By 1993 more violence came on our tube, probably because Repubs got out of office (I'm a Lib forever btw).
Did the 70s have more than the 80s?
A bit off topic, but I've heard the 70s were the worst decade of the 20th century for crime (yes, more than the 90s). Also, I think the worst period for TV violence was 1994/95 to 2001.
