Subject: 80's home, handheld and arcade video games

The Atari Lynx was Atari's only handheld games console, and the first such machine with a color display. It was released in 1989, the same year as Nintendo's (monochromatic) Game Boy. I have this baby and it still works great. It was the first 3D graphics handheld game on the market I believe. I also really liked Galaga arcade game and was really good a MS Pacman.

I recently bought a couple of those Activision joysticks that plug straight into the TV and have 80's video games programmed in them.
I think my favorite was Pitfall. In the arcade, I liked Pole Position.
There was another good one in the mid-late 80's in the arcades that was similar to Pole Position (you sit inside the game's structure) but it was a stick-shift.

I recently added an original Atari 2600 (4 switch Vader system) to my nostalgia room. I have been wearing our Yars' Revenge and Dodge'em.

Just a year or so ago, they brought back those in mini hand held arcade consoles just like they did with Nintendo.

Certainly do! Each of my siblings chose one each. I think mine was the Octopus. We also had Popeye, Parachute and Egg.

Around the same time (possibly earlier) we also had Bandai's Champion Racer. We all loved that and still remember it fondly.

We had a handheld pinball machine. I had forgotten the name until I tried looking for a picture - Raise the Devil. I used to like playing it in the dark!
