i voted for the last one although i don't buy rare LPs simply because i have no credit card to do so, so i DL as much obscure stuff that i happen upon while listening to various 80s internet radio stations.

I'm so hardcore in it, you'd think I was deranged!(If you don't already think so! ;D)

This is my interest in New Wave:
I LOVE about 40% of the better known New Wave singles
The only bands I'd buy albums from are Devo, a-ha (only their early stuff), Depeche Mode, and TFF
I like a bit of obscure stuff, but generally not very much

Me too. :)
I'd consider myself more a fan of the "pop minded" new wave, such as Men at Work, Tears for Fears, etc. Then, of course, there were some bands that could double as rockers and new wave, such as The Police, Cars, J. Geils Band, even Billy Idol -- I'm more into it in that sense. :D

I'm mostly into the keyboard stuff like a-ha and Depeche Mode and the quirky, geeky stuff like Devo and the Talking Heads. I don't like Duran Duran, their beats are too bassy and I don't like their lyrics.
