I believe that song was called Send Me An Angel 89
Not to be confused with Scorpions' "Send Me An Angel"

It reached #29 on the Billboard chart in the U.S. in 1984. :) Five years later, a remixed version of it reached #26.
It's a good song, btw. ;)

I think it came out twice which is where the 89 came in. Because I think it was first released in maybe 87 then i remember buying and still have the cassette single of 89. The Bside songs were good too tho right now I can'trecall what they are called. But i knowonce i got used to them--the Bside songsI did play them too.

Unreal! I downloaded that song about 6 months ago while checking the new wave list on my file sharing program. A great song I never would have known otherwise. :)

I can't. My girlfriend is a police officier and i've been told by her that Kazaa is an illegal download site. She knows alot about computers and whilst I was out at work one day, she put a bar on the computer to prevent me from downloading music illegally.

Why not purchase the music used from eBay or half.com, or even Amazon?  You can get the "best of" disc brand new for $9.98 from Amazon.com

The '89 version appears in the 1989 movie "The Wizard", but no soundtrack was ever produced, so the song became a single only release

I have a red 12" single titled "Send Me An Angel '88" which is the same version as the '89 version.

I loved then hated this song. They played it so much, and then a guy I was dating dedicated it to me. We broke up, and 7 months later it came on the radio on my first date with the love of my life. At the same time, we both reached for the knob to change it. :o Turns out he hated it too. ;D

"Send Me An Angel" had the same big spacey synth sound that made A Flock of Seagulls "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)" such a great song! Behind each was a major league player from the '70s prog rock era:
Steve Hillage produced "Send Me An Angel."
Mike Howlett produced "Wishing."

This song when I was 5 years old is the first song I ever remember calling my favourite song at the time.
I actually work with a young kid who's music teacher was the guitarist for Real life, he teaches in a local high school in Ferntree Gully or Boronia.
Real Life were an australian one hit wonder band.
I heard the song first in NZ when I was 5, way back in 1983.

Real Life were an australian one hit wonder band.
They had a second hit in '83 called "Catch Me I'm Falling" that barely broke the US Top 40. In some ways, I sort of prefer it to Send Me An Angel
