I'd say about 1989 based on TV shows, although they were nowhere as powerful then as they are now.

It was in the early 1980s when Jef Raskin designed the Apple Mac.
And with the sad news Jef Raskin died on February 26th, aged 61.

Even up to 2000 some schools still used the 80s apples. Now they're mostly new computers.

My school is using like 1999 computers which are like dinosaurs nowadays, using windows 98 makes me sick nowadays.

I would say around 1994 or 1995, the internet began to become mainstream, the pentium came out, and windows 1995 finally came out. Before windows 95, PCs were much more of a hassle to use.
