Haven't you heard of Altered Images? She was the lead singer in that band. Happy Birthday is the song I mainly recall them doing.
She was also in the film Gregory's Girl

I definitely went for Kim Wilde. Claire Grogan has too much of a hi-pitched voice (though I do like the song 'Happy Birthday').
