Poison may not have been the greatest band, they did have a couple good songs like "Nothin' But A Good Time", "Fallen Angel", & "Every Rose Has It's Thorn".

And Deborah Gibson is, IMHO, one of the most underrated artists ever since she actually wrote/produced her own songs, played some instruments, and have a good voice. Sure she's no Mariah Carey, but I actually like listening to her music.  :)

There was even a time when I didn't like Debbie Gibson. And laughed my...off when Beavis & Butt-Head would make funny commentaries of their videos...  :D

I'd say Poison...I didnt really like them that much only a couple of songs..but I LOVED Debbie Gibson stuff.

I voted Poison. I don't like either of them at all really, though Debbie Gibson is a mighty fine-looking lady. The only Poison song I like was their cover of Kiss' "Rock and Roll All Night" and mostly because it was in the film Less than Zero which is one of my favourite books and movies.

Poison. I really hated them in the 80's...I thought they were all smoke and mirrors. (I have come to respect C.C. Deville's guitar skills, though.)

  I don't think you can't really compare the two since they are so different. :)

  But since they are both from the best decade ... they both are awesome!   :P

Then Alternative/Grunge was the "bane" of the '90s. It's the '00s and about time for people to get over their '80s phobias. But as far as this thread is concerned, even though I am an '80s Melodic "Pop" Metal fan, I would still have to say Poison as DG is just too darn cute (even though I still prefer Tiffany anyday). But as far a musician and song writing skills, Poison are '"real" musicians that can play instruments and not just sing over a prewritten songs and melodies so then DG would be worse IMO.
