Subject: Best Album of 1980?

1980 was a landmark year in music. It opened a musical decade with an overall sound and feel more arguably unique than any other. Out of all of these 1980 albums, which is your favorite? If you include "London Calling" as a 1980 album, then I have to say that it is the best, allthough there are a ton of great albums here.

If you are going to count London Calling, that is going to be my choice. One of the greatest albums of all time, period.

OK, this was really difficult. I love Talking Heads and that album was one of their very best, but I went ahead with "Double Fantasy" because somebody had to. I love Lennon's post-Beatle work, and this was a goodie. Not to mention that this was the year he was killed, so big up to John Lennon.
I would also like to say that some of these other albums are simply amazing. "London Calling" comes to mind, and Pink Floyd, though it was a '79 release. U2, Pretenders, and Costello are all amazing. Wow. Great poll, and what a great year for music.

Duke by Genesis is a favorite from 1980 , Back in Black was a staple back then, I don't listen to it much anymore, and The Wall and London calling would be up there but I'd call them from 79 :)
