Subject: Who was the group who...

Does anyone remember the group who sang " baby it's you". It was early 80's or late 70's and the female singer wore jeans and a tight white shirt
(enhancing you know what) and braces, which also help enhance ( you know what )
I have heard it was by " the babies" or something similar but i can't find it.

The band was called Promises and was headed by Leslie Knauer, backed by her brothers. She had a screaming rock voice despite the less-than-hardcore clothing worn in that video.
A few years ago in Australia, that clip regained infamy (for two reasons ;) ), due to the fact that it was shown on the comedy show "The D-Generation", when Tom Gleisner sat on a beanbag with Jane Kennedy and made fun of old videos as seen on Countdown.

No problems. The video has a way of sticking in the mind much more than anything else about the song or the band ;D
