Over the years they were lost and broken, got chewed up in tape players, etc... :\'(  I never was on the cutting edge of technology and made backups, and used the cheapest tapes I could find.

Wouldn't that stop you walking? I used to have jeans of that type, with loads of zipped pockets. I was forever getting cut knees when I'd fall over & the zips would press through the knee material!

For those of you that play tennis you probably remember the "Woodie".  It was this huge monolith that weighed about as much as a Volkswagen.  I used to play with it all the time until I accidentally left it at the court one day.  Too bad.

I wouldn't use it today, but it would come in useful during a street fight or something.

  My Garbage Pail Kids.... I was lucky enough last summer at a garage sale up north to find some.  This lady sold me a shoebox full in almost mint condition for like $2.  Boy was I happy, they're just cool to have, and pretty funny. They have a website too, and  are starting to come back.  I bought a pack at Toys R US when I was there.  They have names now like  Rustin' Justin (justin timberlake) and Tellie-Tubbie ones, I'ts Pretty funny.

My youth! Now that I think of it - everything I had was cool. Cool clothes I made and from Goodwill (thanks Molly!). Lots of friends. Unbridled Energy. All I needed was more confidence. My hair is better now though.

My 1987 black BC Rich Warlock that I had modified and sounded great. I bought it new in 1987 and got rid of it when I went through my seperation and divorce in 1994. Bad mistake on my part. I have a white one now but it isn't the same. :(

I don't have hardly anything from my childhood anymore.  It all got left behind in several moves.   :\'(

I found these.  Apparently the original version is still available, but only in white and black.  There are a coupla colored ones in a "new, improved version of the 80's classic style" (someone oxy that moron, willya?  :P).  I guess the only option would be e-bay or somethin'.

I hear your toy troubles. I went on holiday when I was 9 or 10 and I left out my absolute favourite GI Joe figures - you know so you can play with them up till the last minute before you leave. Anyway whilst away my cousins came to the house and my dad (who didn;t go on holiday) GAVE THEM all my favourite Joe's... can u believe it! Needless to say I was distraught and went off GI Joe quick smart when I got home... it just wasn't the same!

The ability to consume an entire package of Oreos or Chip Ahoys in 15 minutes flat and drink the insane amounts of alcohol I was able to and not gain any weight. So I guess that constitutues my body image...I wish I still had that.

Or my stomach of steel that I could still eat a couple bowls of really hot chili at 3 AM and go to slep right after  without feeling like I had a Mack truck on my chest  :o

In short, I guess it would be simpler if I just said I wish I still had my youth.

On this question, I couldn't think of many actual "things" I wish I still had.  The first thing that came to mind was "my future, my innocence, and my faith in humanity."  I could elaborate, but you don't wanna hear about all that, you know heartbreak city, I'm telling ya!

Actual objects:

Early '80s:  All my cool action figures, Empire Strikes Back, GI Joe, etc.  What happened to those?  They just faded away, man!
Late '80s:  Some of that sweet sticky hydroponic stuff my pal Paul used to get.  I knoooow what happened to that!

I wish I had my Schwinn Scrambler BMX bike. It was black with red mags. I loaned it to a friend who in turn loaned it to someone else and it was stolen.

I built it myself, I think that is why I miss it the most.

wish I had my little pony horses, strawberry shortcake dolls, care bears, glo worm, rainbow bright dolls (I do still have the horse), care bears (I do have one still - grumpy bear or whatever, has a cloud on tummy and green) and popples (have one of those still too, its a green one and just like brand new).

oh goodness so many things I miss.. jelly shoes, and braclets (my favorite was the ones with water/glitter inside), only thing I miss about my crimper is the way it felt... sounds silly but I liked to feel crimped hair.
