Subject: West Coast vs. East Coast (Eighties)

Were there different fashions/styles in the eighties on the different coasts of the country? I mean California had cliques nobody else had (unless they ripped it off). Was hair metal more popular out West and New Wave out East?

well the late 80's was when the West Coast East Coast rap rivalry really started.. everyone knows about Tupac and Biggie but the History is just as intense.. i found a site which explained it all very interestingly.. lemme go looke for the link
