As much as I love both these songs, I'll say Take on Me. Harket has more range than just about any singer, except maybe Linkin Park's Chester Bennington. Whip It is fun and one of the first New Wave hits though.

'Take on Me' is ok, but it's one of the more overplayed songs of the 80's.

I like both songs, but both are overplayed. I like Devo better than A-ha... so I'll go with "Whip It."

I also think Devo are better than a-ha. I would consider buying Are We Not Men?, Freedom of Choice, or Oh No! It's Devo! from Devo, but out of a-ha I'd only buy Hunting High and Low. But Take on Me is amazing. Whip It is genius too though! I actually made a cover of Whip It by getting a midi file and singing the lyrics over it and recording it.

I got to go with Take on Me by Aha. I love the music video it's real cool, and I love the high notes in the song. They are pretty good, considering they are from a guy (who is a total cuttie) :-*.

"Take on Me" by a-ha, though it's a rare one for me to hear when I'm listening to a-ha.
