Well thats just great.  There goes any need for my Poison reunion tour tshirts I was going to print.

Just be thankful he's not in a lounge somewhere in Las Vegas trying to sing Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra tunes.

I love country and he has a great voice.  It could be a good thing.

And I remember on "Least Metal Moments" that there was another metal singer who's now singing country since the 1990's...

wow hes a great guy but what is he doing. give it a few months and he'll see the light and return to rock well i hope so as i still want to see poison live. maybe he'll tour doing country i can buy ear plugs and just check out the the view mmmmmmmmmmmm :) 8)

Well, good for him for trying something new.  And good for Pat Boone for trying something new as well.  I'm not a metalhead, so it's OK for me to be open minded when it comes to music  ::)

But country?  Even that's a shock to me!  It's not really my thing either(but I'm cool with country pop).

Maybe he can replace that void left open by the Dixie Chicks since they were supposed to be going rock! ;D

Maybe he'll have a classic rock/country sound to it. ;D

FYI: Michael Bolton was the lead singer of a heavy metal band before he started doing those wretched ballads of his.  ::)

I am a bit suprised, but I also think he's got a right to do whatever. Always seemed like a decent guy to me so, go for it Bret....just don't expect me to listen :D

It won't sound as good as his classic rock group Poison. :P

I saw Poison in concert this past July. They still sounded and looked good to me!

Back when Poison was opening for David Lee Roth there was another band opening too.  That band was called Brunette.  I knew members of that band.  I saw a tiny glimpse of what life was like for them.  It wasn't the drinking or drugs . . . it was the groupies and the sheer chaos, not to mention the exhaustion.

Oh I'm not denying he did the groupie thing  ;D But he has always said he had to be careful not to get too tired or forget to eat etc because of the diabeties.
