I actually like all of the bands listed. Though I selected Guns N' Roses 8)

Whitesnake because they had more success, IMO
Aerosmith "Came back" in '87 and '89...so they were close...
Bon Jovi kicked butt also
Guns n' Roses..I never liked AXL after he beat women

AC/DC 8) the decade was started with a great album, 'Back in Black'
Aerosmith would be 2nd for me
Guns n Roses 3rd but they were late in the 80s

Hobviously Guns n Roses superb artists, great music.. they lived the heavy life for a time as well

I said G'N'R, but Bon Jovi is what I'd class as my definitive rock 'sound' of the 80s.

it was my 1st day yesterday on a tread thing like this..so i was playing around in the hope it would work i did miss out loads of old but great bands ..i do belive your right about van halen and vixen could have put in skidrow and motley crew too the list is endless so i wont go on thanks to all who have voted take care :P rach ;)

I voted for Guns'n'Roses.
Appetite for destruction is clearly -for my personal tastes, of course- the best one of their albums.
AC/DC are also quite fun, and I can enjoy listening to them for a while, but...

check out www.thepushband.net these guy's are from detroit and they toured with some great grops in the 80's through out the u.s. and canada and see also www.terryleebolton.com
